            Bug ID: 342134
Summary: Logs not stored on Windows for nicks/channels with
                    pipe characters
           Product: konversation
           Version: 1.5.1
          Platform: Other
                OS: MS Windows
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: logging
          Assignee: konversation-devel at kde.org
          Reporter: nicolas.alvarez at gmail.com

On Windows, if I join a channel with a pipe character in its name, or have a
private conversation with someone whose nickname has a pipe character,
Konversation silently fails to log the conversation. It tries to write to the
corresponding log file and fails because "|" is not a valid character for a
Windows filename.

Konversation should escape the pipe character somehow. I'm not sure what
bijective escaping could be done though... Is there any character that is
allowed in Windows filenames and not allowed in nicknames or channels?
