I tried it with windows xp(32bit) and windows 7(64bit) konv-1.3.0 msvc build
sending + receiving files, active+passive, from and to different clients(irssi,
konversation, mirc, xchat, pchat)
always worked fine.

Are you sure it is not just a firewall(port) problem?
If not I need a more detailed description.
