I have now been able to produce a crash when enabling the "Custom Browser"
preference in Konversation. It doesn't appear to crash with this preference
disabled, which sort of contradicts the "KDE
is configured to use  firefox  to open URLs." part of the bug report. Does it
crash for you with "Custom Browser" disabled?
