Steps to reproduce:
1. Open konversation.
2. Join #kde-bugs.
3. Paste following text in msg.
** Ask McGuire, he seems to have dup'd some to this "recently". And there are
lots of dups, one suggests a race condition --- so this might be a heisenbug?

4. Hit enter.

Expected result:
Message should be sent or if it contains special chars then should give error.

Actual result:
konversation hangs. In top it shows taking 100% cpu.
