Summary: Initiating a DCC file transfer causes connection to
                    server to drop
           Product: konversation
           Version: cvs
          Platform: Mandrake RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: konversation-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: greg gkmweb com

Version: cvs (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs
Compiler: GCC 3.4.1
OS: Linux

When I try to DCC a file, or establish any kind of DCC connection, the recipient sees an offer, but cannot accept. On my end, I start receiving messages in the status bar that konvi hasn't heard from the server in xx seconds or some time. I have to abort the transfer, then restart konvi to reconnect to the server.

I am behind a netgear router, and there is no iptables firewall running on the machine. This happens if I specify a specific port to use for DCC transfers and open the same port in the router.

Interestingly, xchat is able to initiate a DCC session without making any change to the router (ie leaving all ports closed). If I tell konvi to use the same port that xchat successfully used (thinking that xchat got lucky somehow) konvi still fails as I have described.
