           Summary: Konversation lacks long-term notifications
           Product: konversation
           Version: cvs
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: konversation-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: faure kde org

I switched from ksirc to konversation and I like many things in konversation,
but the main thing I miss from ksirc is notification that would tell me that
someone talked to me when I come back to the computer after 1 hour of absence.

The OSD notification can only last up to 10s - maybe a simple solution would be
to be able to configure an unlimited time for it?

The ksirc solution is:
1) a different icon or color on the tab of a channel/query when someone talks
to me (is this configurable in konversation? I didn't find it); and that color
only goes away when activating that tab to read the channel/query.
2) an icon in kicker's systray that blinks (alternates between two pixmaps with
a timer) as long as there is at least one such tab with a "line for me" status.

I would like to request especially 1), which would be a good thing to have in
any case.
