Bug ID: 506871
Summary: When I open a new tab in Konsole using Ctrl+Shift+T,
then—without releasing Ctrl+Shift—press Tab (to return
to the previous tab) and then W (to close it), Konsole
unexpectedly closes the entire window after closing
the tab.
Classification: Applications
Product: konsole
Version First 25.04.3
Reported In:
Platform: Neon
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: crash
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: konsole-devel at kde.org

Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
When using tab-related shortcuts in sequence without releasing modifier keys,
Konsole unexpectedly closes the entire window.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Konsole.
2. Press Ctrl+Shift+T to open a new tab.
3. Without releasing Ctrl+Shift, press Tab to switch back to the previous tab.
4. Still holding Ctrl+Shift, press W to close the previous tab.
OBSERVED RESULT
Konsole closes the previously opened tab, switches to the newly created one,
and then unexpectedly closes the entire window.
EXPECTED RESULT
Only the targeted tab should be closed. The Konsole window should remain open
with the remaining tab(s) active.
