The 'cmatrix' screensaver running in what it supposed to be full screen.
SUMMARY
Konsole's full screen feature is misleading as it's not really full screen, as
Gwenview and Firefox for example, have.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. [Optional] Install and run the 'cmatrix' screensaver program.
2. Try to make the window full screen by pressing F11 or by clicking the same
option in the menu.
OBSERVED RESULT
The window doesn't go full screen (doesn't fill the entire screen) with its
content as there's still a tool bar + menu bar at the top edge and a scroll bar
at the right edge of the screen.
EXPECTED RESULT
The window's content should fill up the entire screen and that should be all
there is there.
No always visible tool bars + menu bars or scroll bars.
Similar to how other programs like Gwenview and Firefox behave when full screen
mode is toggled.
Besides the case of 'cmatrix' screensaver effect, there are other cases where I
might want a real full screen mode, like with the following programs:
AMDGPU TOP (TUI)
https://github.com/Umio-Yasuno/amdgpu_top
NVTOP
https://github.com/Syllo/nvtop
Htop
https://github.com/htop-dev/htop
Micro
https://micro-editor.github.io/
Midnight Commander
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midnight_Commander
On a multi-screen setup at some point I would most likely also make a a
terminal window like AMDGPU TOP (TUI or Simple TUI) or NVTOP on a secondary
screen to monitor some values while I play some game on the primary screen.
On that secondary screen, used just for monitoring stuff and not interacting
with anything, I clearly don't need any top bar with buttons or a scroll bar,
so it's useless to have them and also distract and hinder my view of what I
want.
So, for screensavers, monitoring tools, readers, editors, file managers and for
the cases where I will be using an OLED screen I want a proper full screen
ability, with no permanent tool / menu bar or scroll bar.
