konsole supports the "alternate screen" function, which some full-screen
applications use to display their TUI (i think ncurses does that by default).
some of these applications temporarily switch back to the primary screen when
launching helper processes (which is probably also done automatically by
ncurses). to be able to inspect this output, it would be useful to have the
option to manually switch the konsole display between the two screens.

xterm has this function: ctrl + middle-click => "show alternate screen".
