What's 24.08?  Are you referring to Ubuntu? I'm on Debian.

However, I've since switched to Debian Testing, konsole is currently version
23.08.1, and I can't really remember the last time it had this behavior. I
think Plasma 6 is almost fully migrated in Testing, so I'll be trying to do an
update to that in the near future.
