Notes on commit messages

Hi, this is a just a FYI that you might look over when creating commit messages.
If you save and enable the .commit-template, you can follow the notes when pushing to a work branch.  Also, if someone hasn’t followed them in a MR, you can edit the commit message when merging the MR.  It would be nice to have everyone follow the 72 column rule as it makes the git log easier to read.
I would prefer people not use the GIT_SILENT keyword.  We should be using these more FEATURE: GUI: FIXED-IN:.
