Thanks for the pointer.  I had decided it wasn't konsole here too, but in a
jump of illogic concluded that meant qt, forgetting about the frameworks, and
wasn't going to even attempt qt code.  But kxmlgui's friendlier territory as
it's both considerably smaller and and one of the "most kde packages" I'm
already running live-git, so I may actually take a look at it.
