konsole with tabs

Seems that with Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS and kubuntu-desktop (Installed: 1.370)
clicking on tabs in konsole is to sensitive, have alot of tabs in open and half
the time switching tabs (selecting the tab with the mouse) draws the tabs out
to its own window
