What Qt5 version do you have?  Starting w/ Qt5.9+, the width of the tabs are
shown differently than before.

The "fix" for this was to add a new item in Konsole master/17.12 version.
With Qt5.9 and master/17.12 "Configure Konsole->TabBar->Expand Individual Tab
Widths to Full Window" disabled, the tabs are centered.
