Are you sure that 4.1 was okay?

There is only a single commit to any relevant tty code that I can spot between
v4.1.1 and v4.1.10-89-g5eb491ba5d06:

There's of course a bunch of commits that might be the source in e. g. kernel/
as well, though.

I'll see if I can try to narrow it down further.
