I am facing the same problems since a few days. It worked before like a charm.
I am using the resolution of 3840*2160 and changed the scaling factor to 1.4
since it's a pretty big screen.

I am also using the intel modesetting driver which accelerated via glamor.

Since these vertical lines started to appear my kontact/kmail is also broken.
It duplicated the toolbar and also the mouse cursor seems to be offset from
it's visible position and where it actually is. This means it's nearly
impossible to point at something.

The only thing that fixes is changing the scaling factor back to 1.0 but then
everything is too small to read and very tiresome for the eyes. I'd really
appreciate any more insight. I even updated from qt 5.7 to 5.9 but the problem
persists.
