1. generate enough output in Konsole that scrolling is possible
2. scroll up
3. press the 'super' (Windows) key
4. click (before scrolling again)

The click mysteriously causes the window to scroll to the bottom of history.

This is fairly old behaviour; may be related to:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=236733

I trigger this a lot (I use Super+F1 etc. to switch desktops), and find it
annoying when scrolling up the history, switching, coming back and trying to
select text.
