Bug ID: 360718
Summary: Add option to automatically hide scrollbar when not
needed
Product: konsole
Version: 15.08.0
Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: konsole-devel at kde.org
Reporter: dodiehun at gmail.com
There is already an option in the "Settings -> Edit Current Profile... ->
Scrolling" to position the scrollbar to the left, or to the right side, or hide
it completely.
It would be really great, if there was an option to extend this behaviour to
hide the scrollbar automatically, when there is nowhere to scroll, and show it
if the content does not fit on the page.
I think it would be a really nice addition, because I use Vim and other
"one-page" applications frequently, and in this cases, the scrollbar is useless
and inactive. On the other hand, when doing other tasks, I really like the
ability to check the size of the scrollback just by looking at the scrollbar,
and quickly navigate in it.
Reproducible: Always
