I'd like to add that konsole 16.08.0's command line help still says this:
$ konsole --help
Usage: konsole [options] [args]
Terminal emulator

Options:
...
  -e <cmd>                   Command to execute. This option will catch all
                             following arguments, so use it as the last option.
...

So according to the documentation, this is supposed to work... ;-)
