Btw.:
It would be great to be able to freely move the cursor to a random position
before starting to select. Like visual mode in Vim, Screen or Tmux. Maybe
Konsole should have something like a visual mode for doing stuff like this.
Nevertheless, ctrl-shift-c and ctrl-shift-v should be still working without
switching mode, so you can directly copy after selecting using the mouse.
