It's not irrelevant as long as it is the "official" way to do it in the frozen
kdelibs.

Yes, which means we can't get it now, so irrelevant for this usecase.

…which, again, is why it is off by default and per-profile. I personally don't
care if I waste a couple of GPU cycles blurring behind a mostly opaque window,
tbh.

If it was that easy I would rather have done that. :-)


But are there any actual objections, from the Konsole people (or from people
maintaining apps using the konsole kpart)? It will be trivial to change this to
use a possible, future, magic QWidget blurmanager if that ever appears.
