No, please don't as the bug is really not fixed. We have a workaround now, so
this bug is no longer that annoying for users, but the scope of this bug is
much wider and still unsolved.

First still nobody applied my "konsole-cat-csr-pem-problem.patch" which is a
fix for a problem in initially opened konsole window as pointed out by comment
#140. My idea (reimplemented by Jekyll Wu in comment #108) is a possible first
step into fully solving problems demonstrated in "A file that can be used to
test correctness of terminal windows".

But we bumped into another problem that mcedit didn't paint its window in a way
allowing for correct copying into a clipboard. I've explained this throughfully
in comment #138 and Mark Martinec disputed my opinion in the next comment.

While I understand his opinion in general way, my point is little less general
and little more subtle: Since mcedit is a text editor application, copying text
from an edited file into clipboard is quite frequent use-case. Shouldn't mcedit
developers be aware that their users possibly want to preserve formating while
copying text (ie. source code) from a text editor and sacrifice (possibly
optionaly) some painting optimizations to allow correct indentation in copied
text? Since there is no other way to preserve copied text exactly without text
editor developers painting it correctly into a terminal in first place.

So for me it would be interesting to know mcedit developer's opinion on this.
