This would be so nice please consider this advice!

I'll also second the comments that trailing white space on lines may not be
"wanted" but often added for convenience either to pad lines or erase
characters.  My guess is that a lot of people will be happy with "no trailing
white space" and very few will complain about "it isn't exactly as printed". I
wouldn't object to an option.
