To be honest at this point I can't be sure if it was a regression it's been so
long. However, I am sure it is still happening in 4.7.3 at least. I'm attaching
a small piece of a window at a border with a bitmap font (Terminus) so you can
get a clear image when scaling up. You can easily measure the difference in
color of the text depending on the background with this sample.
