I just checked the reported problem again using KDE SC 4.8. It seems OK now.
Could the reporter check it again using KDE SC 4.8?

The second problem sounds the same as bug 291809, and that problem seems also
fixed in KDE SC 4.8 according the feedback of the reporter.
