I just tried the latest git version and it works like a charm (including the
new setting).

If the tab title is set to display "%w" (which is the default afaik) then they
would be the same.

The point of this patch is to allow setting a custom tab title (which may
include %w) while the window title always shows the title set in the shell.

If you feel this is not the correct solution for this ticket then this is the
time to respond.
