Thanks for reporting!

The concept of 'profile' and 'session' have changed quite a lot in between KDE3
and KDE4 konsole. In short words, 'KDE4 profile' == 'KDE3 session'. 

The feature you are looking for is unfortunately still missing in KDE4 konsole.
See bug 175140 comment #20 for a workaround.
