But this is exactly the point that richlv at nakts.net was trying to make:  Yes,
it's a bug to add extra spaces to the end of the line, and it's also a bug to
delete all spaces from the end of the line.  But given the choice between the
two bugs, the latter is far easier to live with than the former, since it's
very rare that whitespace at the end of a line is significant.  Ideally konsole
should exhibit neither bug, but evidently figuring out how to do so is
difficult.

So WHILE we are all spending years discussing how to make konsole behave
perfectly, can we please simply revert to the older and less annoying buggy
behaviour?
