Well, Konsole itself does not make special requirement(except for
monospace) for fonts. It just asks Qt to list all valid fixed-width
fonts.  If that font is not listed, the thing is Qt does not see it as
an valid fixed-width font(even though the font looks like and is fixed
width ).

So the right thing for you to do is forward this problem to the author
of that font so that he/she can investigate why that font is not seen
as an valid fixed-witdh font(missing some meta data?) by Qt, or report
the problem to Qt if you are sure the font is OK.  There is not much
thing Konsole can do here.

On the other hand, you can still use that font in Konsole even if it
is not listed. Open ~/.kde4/share/apps/konsole/xxx.profile in your
favorite text editor, and modify following lines:
