I think about the only way to handle this would be to add options to the profile Tab page. Perhaps a color/style/etc area where the user and ignore or pick how they want the selected tab to appear.
If this is done, we might also use it for the 'monitor activity' tab display.
Doing something automatically will cause issues since each KDE style has different way of handling selected tab styles.
