Confirmed the same issue with

Konsole 2.6
KDE 4.6.00 (4.6.0) "release 6"
Opensuse 11.4

try

konsole --new-tab -e /bin/ls -R /

and then

konsole --new-tab

or ctrl-shift-t

For fun, try to ctrl-C the command as it runs. Not sure what behaviour is
expected in that case though...
