Konsole under KDE 4.6.3 has an option that seems to provide the sticky console
geometry size that so many of us prefer. It's in the General tab of
configuration profile dialog. It has the rather odd label "Save window size and
position on exit." (Exit from what? The configuration dialog or the Konsole
window?) Unchecking this box allows me to open fresh 80x25 Konsoles from within
an open Konsole of any geometry. Love it!
