Yeah, this looks convincing. Try to change color scheme then (Edit Profile >
Appearance) - some of them are explicitly specifying different colors as bold;
it is also not influenced by the setting (and it is intentional - if you don't
like a scheme with "bold" colors, just use another without them). For instance,
'White on Black' scheme does make some colors bold, 'Linux Colors' doesn't. If
this doesn't help, try to use different font and see if this helps.

Just use good fonts at their native DPI (but it is out of scope of this
discussion).
