New code for KDE 4.7 committed will automatically focus the correct text entry
box depending on if the user has a local or remote connection.

So in 4.7, you should type Ctrl+Alt+s and then 'panda<enter>' and that is all -
no mouse movements.

I'll  close this - comment further if you still feel this is an issue.
