--- Comment #112 from Jekyll Wu <adaptee gmail com> 2011-12-09 12:56:38 ---
(In reply to comment #111)

Thanks for your testing and feedback.

The problem mentioned in comment #110 also exists on master code. It is my
fault to push the commit without noticing that. However, after making some
investigation, I think the real problem behind that "EOL of the last line"
problem is the previous commit reveals another hidden problem . The faulty
logic related with the "EOL of last line", combined with the previously faulty
logic related with "trailing non-existent spaces", surprisingly produced the
right behavior in regard to the "EOL of the last line" issue.

I'm make more investigation into that "EOL of the last line" problem, but I
prefer not to fix it until the "trailing non-existent spaces" problem is
confirmed by users to be really fixed by previous commit.

I do not quite understand the problem mentioned in comment #111. I do not use
mc a lot, so "select a block" is a little confusing to me. I tested mcedit
before pushing the commit, and empty lines were pasted as empty lines.

The previous commit should have been contained in the KDE SC 4.8 beta2. More
testing and feedback, please :)
