Further investigation implies that the root cause is fluxbox still lacks ARGB
support , which is needed by konsole(correct me).

openbox and fvwm do support ARGB, so konsole will have transparent background
when running in them with xcompmgr.

So if anyone has this problem, please check whether the WM supports ARGB first.
