Summary: Konsole resolves symlinks for initial path, should
                    mimic CD/PWD behavior
           Product: konsole
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: konsole-devel at kde.org
        ReportedBy: DannyDaemonic at gmail.com

Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.4)
OS: Linux

This bug is a lot like the kde 3 bug 63014.

When you tell konsole to open /some/symlink it will actually put you in the
/path/of/symlink instead of /some/symlink. This will happen everytime if the
user's home directory is in a symlink or is itself a symlink.

I will quote Dik Takken from the original bug, as he summed up this issue
perfectly:
> This is inconsistent and confusing to unexperienced Linux users. As a system
> administrator, I want to be able to create links to /mnt/diskxxx for example
> and I want these links to be transparent to the users. Users tend to get
> confused if they get redirected to /mnt/. They think they're in the wrong
> spot, as they have left their home directory.

Reproducible: Always
