This was previously reported as,

I have defined a second profile for Konsole called "root".  That is preserved. 
(Files are written to ~/.kde4/share/apps/konsole/ .)  

But, clicking on Settings -> Manage Profiles allows root to be checked and
shown in the menu (the menu obtained when left click-holding on the bottom left
corner of the Konsole window).  

After a reboot "root" is no longer in the menu, and it is necessary to go back
to Settings -> Manage Profiles and re-check it.  

Possibly this is a problem in writing to ~/.kde4/share/config/konsolerc, which
would make this problem related to
<https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=235529>, or then again it might be
totally unrelated.

as above

Actual Results:  
The menu item disappears on reboot.  

Expected Results:  
The menu item should remain after a reboot.  

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.33.5-desktop-2mnb
Compiler: gcc
