I can confirm this as well, using fonts Andale Mono, Lucida Console,
Inconsolata. The latter two at least are TTF fonts. I didn't notice the problem
until after installing the updated kdegraphics package, which installed some
new QT packages as dependencies. I read somewhere that Konsole depends on QT
for font rendering, so perhaps QT is not supplying a bold font and xterm is
falling back to overdrawing the font which produces the same bug.
Workaround for now is to switch to another font (some of the built-in monospace
fonts seem to work better, although technically they suffer the same problem
the width differences are less drastic so little to no clipping occurs).
