I have i7 CPU X4, 2.8GHz and 6GB memory.

Yet it takes ~0.6 sec (very approximately) to switch tabs by clicking or
Shift-Left - Shift-Right.

This slows down work. There should be no reason for tab switching to take that
long on such fast machine.
