pinging this bug. This is the single most annoying aspect of KDE 4.  Here we
are at KDE 4.5 and it is still not fixed. I don't think saving window
*position* is appropriate for konsole to do itself, but saving window
*dimensions* (size) is appropriate - if that is what the user has requested. 
gnome-terminal, xterm, rxvt, and every single other terminal I've used don't do
this, and the "workaround" is a hack at best. Please add a preference that
disables auto-saving. I find the current behavior remarkably counter-intuitive.
