I can confirm this on my machine. Konsole renders bold text ugly and I am
resorting to hacks and settings on various applications to make it usable on
konsole. Gnome-terminal on the same system on kde seems to be rendering
alright.

This should be a high priority issue as it affects most of us who use Konsole
primarily.
