I'm also missing transparency in konsole. It works in gnome-terminal. Other
effects also work, like making the whole window transparent when I move or
resize it (be it konsole or any other window). This is true for both of my
systems:

Ubuntu 9.10 beta and Debian unstable, both with KDE 4.3.2 (but with different
video chipsets, i.e. ATI and Nvidia, and with different settings, i.e. OpenGL
vs XRender).
