IF the application is stable - then it is worth it and yes - I do think the
performance and sharing benefits (being able to move tabs between windows, have
a settings change in one window immediately reflected in all of them) are worth
it.

Like most developers - I spend a large chunk of my working day with a terminal
open and in use.  For me at least, Konsole is stable - even with bleeding edge
builds of KDE.
