Summary: Inconsistent tab switching behavior on close
Product: konsole
Version: unspecified
Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: konsole-devel at kde.org
ReportedBy: jwelsh at eemta.org
Version: (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources
When I close a tab either by exiting the shell, or ctrl+shift+w, it advances to
what had been the next tab, as expected. But if the last tab was closed, it
wraps to the first tab, which I find a bit surprising.
But, if I use the "close tab" button instead, I get the "expected" behavior:
move to the next tab, unless the last tab is closed, in which case stay on the
now last tab.
This was not affected by the fix to #183483 - that just reversed the directions
(before, shell exit would go to the previous tab and wrap to the end from the
first; the close button would go to the previous tab unless the first was
closed). So I agree with the fix for that bug, and this is a separate issue.
I'll submit a patch if I can figure it out.
