To add a little to this, I experience the same problem but only when I launch
konsole as a different user than I originally logged in as, and the delay only
happens when attempting to use tab completion for the first time. When using
gdb in debug mode there is no info generated, konsole simply hangs for 30 secs
and then operates as normal. To duplicate, login into KDE as normal, open
konsole (or any terminal program for that matter) xhost + -> su -
differant-user -> konsole -> hit tab key a couple of times and it freezes.  of
special note may not be a problem specific to konsole, as I get the exact same
behavior with the digikam beta where it will only load with whatever username I
log into kde first, it does not generate any debug info it just never finishes
loading.
