Except that most applications don't have the concept of profiles - which is
useful in Konsole.

When a new window is opened, it has a default profile for that window.  You can
see this if you use the Konsole quick launcher plasma widget which someone else
wrote to go in the panel.  The request others have made is for Konsole to
remember the last used window size for a window opened with a particular
profile.
