Yeah! I had this problem on FreeBSD 7.2 and KDE 4.3.0! Reproduce this situation
very simple:
1. install KDE
2. at first time start konsole... window may appeared and crashed or not
3. reboot
4. start KDE... konsole window crashed... i've tried start konsole again but
crashed always

hmm... after couple of days konsole started okay! :-)

I cant see why that happened...
