Two notes regarding Stefans last post:

a) thats the soft-freeze, which means new features need to be started by then,
they don't have to be finished. And I'd consider this patch attached here
starting the feature, hence there's time until november 17th

b) If Robert doesn't find time to review it, I'll have a look myself and test
it a bit. If it works well I'll make sure it'll be in before November 17th.
