Summary: Konsole fails to start a session
           Product: konsole
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: FreeBSD Ports
        OS/Version: FreeBSD
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: konsole-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: kris pcbsd org

Version: (using KDE 4.0.80)
Installed from: FreeBSD Ports
Compiler: Compiled with cmake from Area51 FreeBSD ports tree.
OS: FreeBSD

Working on the latest 4.0.80 version of KDE Beta 1. Konsole compiles and appears to run at first, but nothing ever shows up in the window, you cannot type commands, and a prompt never appears. Whats strange is that the shell session *is* started, I see it in a "ps" output, and when you close Konsole, the /bin/sh terminates for it. With each tab you open, it also kicks off a new /bin/sh process.

Another tidbit, if you run "konsole -e" and some command, like a script which touches a file, the script *does* get run, but nothing shows up in the konsole screen. Its as if the shell starting is working fine, but something is broken with the communication between the shell process and the konsole window itself. Whats making this difficult to figure out is that there are *no* errors or warnings of any kind showing up from konsole, it thinks it's working perfectly.

Using FreeBSD 7-Stable, and konsole compiled from ports using area51 of freebsd.kde.org.
